Poseidon's Custom Pools
Booked through next pool season inside 90 days, 18-22 luxury consultation requests every month
Founder Steve Smith has built custom inground pools for 25+ years across Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Lehigh, and Montgomery counties, plus DE and NJ. Long sales cycle. High-ticket clientele. Six-figure projects, no margin to waste on bad leads.
Where they were when they called us.
Poseidon's craftsmanship was top-shelf but the website was an afterthought. Mobile load time was 5.8 seconds. They appeared in zero map packs across their 12 target cities. Their three biggest competitors had 3-4× the citation footprint and dominated luxury-pool keywords. With six-figure project values, missing even 3 high-intent searches a month was real money on the floor.
What we actually did.
Every step was sequenced to compound: foundations first, traffic engines second, conversion polish third. Here's the order we ran it in.
- 01
Rebuilt the site as a luxury portfolio: full-bleed pool gallery, project-cost ranges, design-process walkthrough, financing FAQ, and a quote-request form with project budget qualification
- 02
Built service-by-city landing pages for all 12 priority cities with locally-shot project photos and city-specific pool-permit FAQs
- 03
Stood up Google Business Profile and grew it weekly: project photos, before/after carousels, pool-design Q&A, instant review responses
- 04
Cleaned NAP across 60+ citation sources, then submitted to luxury-builder directories that move both rankings and high-budget referrals
- 05
Layered LocalBusiness, Service, and AggregateRating schema, plus FAQ schema on each city page targeting 'cost to build a pool in [city]' searches
- 06
Ran a 6-month review acquisition push tied to project completion: 50+ new 5-star Google reviews in the first year
Month 1, the luxury rebuild
Pool buyers at this price point want to feel the craftsmanship before they pick up the phone. We tore the site down to studs and rebuilt around the portfolio: full-bleed photography, real project budgets, and a quote form that asks for budget range up front. Self-qualified leads, fewer tire-kickers.
Months 2-5, the map pack ladder
Doylestown was the priority because it was the highest-revenue ZIP. We hit map-pack #1 in Doylestown in month 4. Newtown and Yardley followed in month 5. By month 6 Poseidon held a top-3 position in 9 of 12 target cities, including Allentown and West Chester.
Months 6-12, booked out
By month 6 they had booked the entire next pool season. Steve had to start politely turning away projects that didn't fit the calendar. We pivoted strategy to play the long game: reduce paid spend, deepen organic, and start a waitlist email engine for spillover demand.
Year 2, the brand premium
Year 2 the question stopped being 'can we get more leads' and became 'can we get the right ones'. We tightened service-page targeting toward $100K+ project copy, added an 'investment ranges' page, and watched average tracked project value climb from $98K to $135K.
