Terms and conditions

The terms that govern working together.

These terms apply to every engagement with SF Web Tech. They cover contracts, payment, ownership, support, cancellation, and escalation. By approving a quote or paying an advance, you accept these terms.

Last updated: April 2026

1. Contract

The client's approval to commence work constitutes a contractual agreement. Approval may be provided via an email confirming the quote (with the quote document attached) or a signed quote document by the client. Payment of any advance fee signifies acceptance of these terms and authorizes work commencement.

2. Usage of services and products

Clients agree not to use services for activities that are harmful to society or children, or illegal in any jurisdiction. Clients bear sole responsibility for all content published through their website and must implement appropriate security measures.

3. One-year free technical support

Free support covers server-side scripting or programming errors and bugs, logical bugs, and connection errors. Support excludes issues from server upgrades, external modifications, or operating-system changes. It does not cover training, cosmetic updates, or enhancements. Support is unavailable for full-time engagements or installations.

4. Photography and graphics

Stock images are typically not included in deliverables unless agreed otherwise. Demo images may not be used commercially without purchasing rights. Clients bear responsibility for copyright compliance.

5. Browser compatibility

Websites function on the latest versions of popular browsers at project agreement time. Older browsers like Internet Explorer 11 are not guaranteed compatible. Enhancement fees apply for older browser support.

6. Search engine submission

SEO services are not included unless explicitly agreed in writing.

7. Site maintenance

Content updates, refinements, and design changes are billed separately post-launch unless agreed otherwise.

8. Content

Clients assume responsibility for all website content once delivered.

9. Client-supplied material

Client materials remain client property. The company assumes legal ownership and assumes no copyright infringement liability.

10. Domain names

Domains registered by the company remain company property until all associated fees are paid, then transfer upon request.

11. Travel time and expenses

Travel time and expenses are not included unless specified.

12. Third-party add-ons and services

Clients pay all third-party costs directly to the company before registration or integration.

13. Portfolio usage

The company reserves the right to display the client's name, logo, and work performed in portfolio materials, overriding prior NDAs.

14. Quotations

Quotes remain valid for one month unless otherwise agreed and cover only outlined work. Post-initiation changes incur additional charges.

15. Payment methods

International clients pay via wire transfer, credit card, or PayPal. Indian clients use NEFT, RTGS, or physical cheques.

16. Payment terms

Invoices are due within 14 days unless otherwise specified. Full publication occurs only after full payment is received. Non-payment incurs a $250 USD fee for site restoration. Late payments incur a $100 USD fee or 5% of the invoiced amount (whichever is higher) per week of delay.

17. Cancellation

Client cancellations receive refunds minus advances and completed milestone payments. Company cancellations refund minus $15 USD per hour for work performed.

18. Penalty clause

Delays incur a penalty of X percent per week (up to 8 weeks), calculated as 50 divided by project duration in weeks. Beyond 8 weeks, clients may request a full refund and cancellation. Unauthorized use of delivered work incurs the full project price. Clients must provide feedback within 24 hours or the company is exempt from timeline obligations.

19. Delayed client response

Delays exceeding 5 working days may result in forfeited payments. If communication ceases for 10 calendar days, the project is deemed accepted. Project holds require $1,000 USD or 30% of the project price (whichever is higher).

20. Escalation

Contact our project manager for project-level issues, expecting a response within 3 working days, or Sohail Farooq, founder, for final escalation.

21. Time estimates

Timelines require a minimum 1-week timeline extension per change request.

22. Profit sharing

The company will not claim business profit shares post-payment.

23. Copyright and ownership rights

The company retains copyright unless otherwise agreed. Clients own client-supplied materials and custom designs with exclusive rights.

24. Intellectual property

Unless agreed otherwise, the company owns source code and may reuse it. Clients cannot copy, share, reverse engineer, or redistribute company materials. Breaches authorize $100,000 USD per violation, plus legal fees.

25. Termination

Either party may terminate, but both must fulfill obligations until completion.
